What AMATAR™ can do?
In conventional cell sorting methods, cell labeled by fluorescent-binding antibodies is recognized by a laser (optical system) for separation. However, there have been concerns about changes in cells caused by the use of cell labeling, and the equipment is large and complicated.
The AMATAR™ cell sorting technology provided by AFI consists of three technologies; electrical characterization, microfluidic control and image analysis technology. This is a unique principle not found in existing cell sorting methods, and enables label-free and damage-free sorting of target cells from samples.
